– You should all head over and check out Darius’ review (here) of the Them Crooked Vultures show at the Wiltern a few days ago.

– I just watched an interview with Tommy Lee where he said the other three members of Motley Crue hate electronic music. He then went on to say that girls get naked much faster for a beat than a guitar riff. I like all types of music too, but it seems Tommy will take a stab at rock music any chance he gets. Don’t forget, this is the same guy that was so broke he had to move in with Rob Zombie many years ago. I wonder what type of music pulled him out of that hole?

– I visit two sites daily for my dose of rock music news, and those are Blabbermouth and The Prp . Congratulations are in order and go out to Wookubus from ThePrp. The redesigned site looks amazing.

– In response to an email I received yesterday in regards to a comment about the first Weezer record, the only song I really never enjoyed on that album was “Surf Wax America.” I can’t pick a favorite. The rest are just awesome.

– The new Ace Frehley record is solid, as is the new Kiss.

– I was reading an article today about New York City restaurants that were serving Thanksgiving menus. I much prefer having a home-cooked meal with family. I get a kick out of how restaurants try to advertise Thanksgiving home-cooking. Quite sad.

– One question I get asked all the time is about the content of my iPod. I guess it happens because I listen to such a wide variety of music. I’ve always debated how to answer this question, because it would take so much time. In the coming days, I’ll add more to the list. So, today, I’ll list some awesome songs you might not know. Check them out.

Himsa – Big Timber – If I’m not mistaken, this band broke up. I don’t like many songs by them, but this one is pretty awesome.

Ra – Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic – Yes, it’s a cover of the Police classic, but after listening to it and the entire Ra catalog, you’ll wonder why they’re not one of the biggest bands in the world.

Orgy – Stitches – This one is from their first record, and my all-time favorite song by Jay Gordon and company.

INXS – Beautiful Girl – Yes, men listen to ballads too. Very subtle, not cheesy, and exceptionally well done. INXS was awesome.

Heaven Shall Burn – Endzeit – This song is disgustingly brutal. If you’re looking for motivation, look no further. I listened to it last week and lifted a Buick over my head. True story.

Buckcherry – Cream – Hands down this is the best song on Black Butterfly.

Augustana – Boston – A great pop rock song.

Bell X1 – Rocky Took A Lover – An even better pop rock song from a band that should be huge.

Anberlin – The Feel Good Drag – This might be an emo song, but the original version rocks. Avoid the one on the record, because they took out the screams.

I don’t agree with a lot of what you say but I can say you’ve turned me on to some sick tunes over the year. Wait. Should I be saying “turned me on” with that picture of Tommy and Dave necking?
