Interview with In This Moment vocalist Maria Brink

I wasn’t too happy with this spot. I expected it to be much better. So, there’s a lot of typical rock radio questions, and really nothing is said here that hasn’t been said a million times before. I’m glad to hear they’re going to have a much larger budget for their fourth record. Hopefully, those extra funds will go towards the marketing of quality songs. I think it will be tough to top A Star-Crossed Wasteland, but we’ll see.

Interview with Bury Your Dead frontman Mat Bruso

Mat Bruso has a great story. He left Bury Your Dead to focus on becoming a teacher, one of his lifelong goals. He’s currently teaching sixth grade children with special needs, something I find extremely admirable. But right now, it’s all about Mosh N’ Roll.

Buried Treasures: Hum – Green To Me

This is an awesome song from a criminally overlooked band. I’ve mentioned some of their other stuff on a prior Buried Treasures, but I couldn’t resist going back to the well again. Downward is Heavenward is a must-own album.

Interview with Egypt Central frontman John Falls

This show was a lot of fun. I have to admit, I’m not a fan of midday interviews. They’re typically formulaic and boring. This was an exception. If you’re an Egypt Central fan, you’ll enjoy it. If you’re not an Egypt Central fan, you’ll enjoy it too. Look, click the link, get in here and listen. Alright?

Buried Treasures: E. Town Concrete – Doormats

E. Town Concrete was one of those bands I expected to go to another level. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, that never happened. Throughout their career, they had some pretty slamming tracks, and “Doormats” is one of them. Crank it. Enjoy your week.

A Long Drive Home with Joe Altier (ex-Brand New Sin)

We talked about Brand New Sin, his current musical projects, Metallica, Peter Steele, and much more. You’d be hard-pressed to find someone more passionate about music than Joe Altier. The guy lives for music, and I respect the heck out of him for it.

Buried Treasures – Cat Power: Naked, If I Want To

Chan Marshall became Cat Power after moving to New York City in the mid-90′s. An opening slot for Liz Phair laid the groundwork for her future success. Two legends in the music world, Dave Grohl and Eddie Vedder, have made cameos on her albums. Investigate. You might like what you hear.

We at All Knowing Force love the first Burn Halo record. We at All Knowing Force love the new Burn Halo record even more. It’s harder, edgier, and ready to kick you in the face. Burn Halo’s second album, Up From The Ashes, is out NOW.

Interview with Cris Kirkwood of Meat Puppets

Our listeners are largely unfamiliar with this band. Darius raves about them, as well as their live show. Nirvana gave them the rub in the early 90′s and they had a huge hit with “Backwater” off Too High to Die. Cris is a 30 year veteran of the music business, battled addiction, been to prison, and has lived to tell about it. Enjoy!
