The Right Thing, the second full-length Owl album will be released on April 9th, 2013. This record truly lives in the moment. It’s very primal, organic, competent rock music played with conviction. The Right Thing opens with a cover of The Kinks track “Destroyer.” An album opening with a cover – daring and unconventional, to say the least. As far as I’m concerned, this is rock and roll, the way it should be – not an overthought collection of songs that all sound identical.

“I like being surprised. I also don’t like knowing the path an interview will travel. That journey makes for a more enjoyable, spontaneous listening experience. Color me impressed with Jacob Bunton. The man is articulate, genuinely optimistic and passionate about music, and… let’s put it like this – he’s the type of guy you could sit and talk music with for days. Back From the Dead, the debut album from Adler is a truly enjoyable listening experience.”

“I listened to the latest All The Remains album. I cannot believe this is the same band that released This Darkened Heart and The Fall of Ideals. The under 18 crowd must rejoice. If you no longer bring a lunchbox to school, it’s time to move on. All That Remains 2012 isn’t for you. This buried treasure is a lunchbox. I brought this with me to school during my early grade school days. ALF, at that time, was king.”

“One thing I picked up on didn’t happen on the stage. It happened at merch. I’ve seen thousands of merch tables in my day. Very rarely have I seen what I’m about to tell you. During RED’s set, Welch made his way to the Love and Death table. I saw countless groups of fans go from banging their heads to running – literally – to Love and Death’s merch table. Mid-set. Mid-song. Amazing stuff. This dude is a star. Period. When you’re a star, that’s how people react.”
