Wondering Crazy for 12/3/09

- Marilyn Manson has split from Interscope following the disappointing sales of his last album, The High End Of Low. He went on to say that his hands were tied creatively and all sorts of other nonsense. Brian Warner (Marilyn Manson) is a grown man. I grew up listening to Marilyn Manson and enjoyed a show he put on in January 2008 at the Hammerstein Ballroom. However, each time he opens his mouth, I must say, I’m embarrassed to be a fan. Shock rock is dead and it will never, ever – mark my words – EVER – make a comeback. It’s over, Mr. Warner, and it’s been for a long time.

- As far as the Tiger Woods situation goes, the man deserves his privacy. He should be arrested for stupidity, but unfortunately, in the United States, that is not possible. 90% of the country would then be in prison. But, to be cheating on your wife when she’s seven months pregnant with your child is sickening. I hope Nike drops him. Who cares about Tiger Woods but old people? He plays golf. It’s not a sport.

- Do any of you pray for villains when your heroes let you down?

- The Highline Ballroom is one of the best rooms in the entire country. I can’t say enough good things about it. Plus, there’s a supermarket right next door. You can’t go wrong. If you want to laugh, I was there on Tuesday. I walked into the supermarket and asked for beef jerky. It’s a carbs thing. Anyway, the employee told me to go to Aisle 4. No such aisle existed. Scroll up. He’d be part of the 90% mentioned above.

- The Anvil movie is amazing. If you haven’t seen it yet, go see it immediately. A handsome man sent it to me a week ago. Thank you, handsome man.

- Ruben Studdard. That’s all. I just wanted to say that.

- If you were born in the early 80′s, whether you were male or female, you cranked the song above. Don’t worry. I won’t tell anyone. After all, if you cross my path, you’re gonna get stomped. I’m wondering when these haircuts are going to become trendy again. The faux-hawk being rocked by today’s youth is disgusting. Stop it. Please.

- I was going to start doing these on a daily basis, but…

    1) here goes andrew with the whole “shock rock” thing again, sounding like an MTV News brief. thank you kurt loder.

    2) golf IS a sport. if you think otherwise, i’d like to see you shoot 6 under par… from the ladies tees.

    3) highline ballroom is a nice venue. it has great acoustics. it’s a good place to see a show. but im sorry, it has no character. i’ll take places like irving plaza, the 930 club, the tabernacle, or the troubadour ANY DAY over that place.

    Thank you KRIO and SLAYERS.

    1) If Manson wasn’t labeled “shock rock” no one would care. It’s his only selling point.

    2) …trying hit a put into a tiny hole with a windmill in front of it.

    3) It doesn’t have character, but in terms of being comfortable, it takes the cake. Nothing beats Union Pool, though.

1 – I agree with Andrew on this totally.

    2 – Golf is not a sport.

3 – Darius is right. Highline is a good club but lacks character. 9:30 Club is badass.

I’m going to watch Anvil again. \m/
