Buried Treasures: Hum – Green To Me

Hum. I love this band. Absolutely L-O-V-E them. They are CRIMINALLY overlooked – in caps: CRIMINALLY. Downward is Heavenward is a brilliant album. You’re not going to “get” these guys on the first listen. But hang in there, because the journey is awesome. If you’ve been dying to add abstract space rock to your palate, this morning I’m serving up a dish of Hum, and no one does it better.

Green has become such an interesting color in my life. Green doors. Green vegetables. This song, by the way, is about recycling ink cartridges.

Good morning, and enjoy your Tuesday.

This is from one of my favorite records EVER.

I listen to it every now and again and it NEVER gets old. A true gem from the 90s!

Brilliant! All of their songs are atmospheric and somehow beautiful in their confusion.
