Evanescence Evanescence CD Album Review

13 October 2011 6 Comments

Evanescence is an enjoyable listen.  I don’t have any of their music on my iPod and I don’t see that changing.  In order for one to love this album, they would have to acknowledge the direct relationship between the positivity of their review and missing Amy Lee.  On first listen, yes, after a five year wait, it was refreshing.  Subsequent listens, it dragged.  If Evanescence was released in 2007, the reaction would be less positive.  The musicianship needs improvement and in my opinion, Evanescence still has their best record left in them.

Although condensed, this review is accurate. If it weren’t 5 years between CD’s, I wouldn’t have enjoyed this as much. I listened to it a few times more in the car and it just waned.

It wasn’t a waste of my $ but it wasn’t my $’s worth either.

It’s a respectable listen but wouldn’t propel them to play arenas if it were their first.

I too believe their best is ahead.

Amy Lee now has 3 chins.

Best CD review ever. Quick. To the point. Accurate.

This CD is as “refreshing” as Gold Cobra.

That what you want song is poised to be the most annoying song on radio to close out the year.

I initially wrote a much longer analysis, but it didn’t go anywhere. I deleted it and then rocked this version. Sometimes less is more.
