Buried Treasures – Discover New Music – 6/17/10

There isn’t a theme to this one either, but in the next Buried Treasures, we will do the theme of FALLING.

Anyway, there are some great tracks here. Initially, I wanted to add “We Rock” and then the rest just came to my head. They’re all connected, in their own little way.

Dio – The Last in Line – We Rock – 1984

As a Dio fan, I can tell you this track is definitely a fan favorite. But, it’s been largely ignored by the masses.

Dio – Sacred Heart – Just Another Day – 1985

Dio wrote this along with Vivian Campbell, who has been playing guitar in Def Leppard since Steve Clark died.

Deep Purple – Perfect Strangers – Perfect Strangers – 1984

It’s Ritchie Blackmore’s favorite Deep Purple song, and it’s my favorite Deep Purple song too.

Pink Floyd – A Momentary Lapse of Reason – Learning to Fly – 1987

This was one of the first videos I saw on MTV and was my introduction to Pink Floyd. I’m quite perplexed so few have heard of it. Great video too.

Someone is on a classic rock kick.

I saw Dio solo about 6 times and each time he closed with We Rock.

Thank you for voicing your opinion. If you don’t enjoy these tracks, I think your taste in music is pretty bad too.

This is a great selection of tracks and anyone who says otherwise needs to kill themselves. If you’re looking to be sold on these songs, all 3 must be listened to LOUD…..especially Perfect Strangers.
