Andrew Bilach, Staind »
A short, layman look at Staind going forward following the departure of longtime drummer John Wysocki. It seems to have come out of nowhere, or at least that’s the feeling I get when I talk to people. John was well-liked, but always seemed uncomfortable with the limelight of being in an immensely popular band. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

DC was on our show last night and it was a great discussion. We learned a lot about everything Eye Empire and how they are going the extra mile for their fans during a difficult time for unsigned hard rock artists.
Moment of Impact lives up to expectations. It’s a complete DIY effort by Eye Empire so you likely won’t find it in stores. Buy the record from the band’s website and they’ll ship an autographed copy to you themselves.
We need to support good bands and good music wherever and whenever we can. This is a prime example of that. Eye Empire…. Check ‘em out.

In all the years it’s been operational, I can’t recall a single person who has said anything positive about Terminal 5. That includes yours truly. Unless you have stilts handy or can elongate and bend your neck, you ain’t seein’ nuthin’. So on this Monday morning, I’m going to bat for all y’all. Well, just summing some things up is more like it. I’m pumped today, though. Pumped!

I felt this article was necessary, given the nature of the reaction to my post about closing our Myspace account. This was written from the perspective of a musician. Facebook vs. Myspace. Which to use? Use both? Use neither? I analyze and answer this question inside. And as always, to all of you fighting the good fight in this ridiculous business, best wishes and good luck!

Today, we did just that and spoke with lead singer Gavin Hayes. This interview is terrific because you hear the lead singer of a successful band, in the middle of a headlining tour, defiantly discussing the thought process before and after the release of its most polarizing album.
I will say that after this show and especially after speaking with Gavin, that I will be seeing dredg again down the road and will absolutely be looking forward to whatever their next move will be as a band. I like artists that are unafraid to take risks, no matter how bold.

Thank you very much for submitting questions. One of the biggest flops in radio occurred at 92.3 K-Rock in New York City after the great Howard Stern defected to Sirius. They abandoned music and went to a talk format. It was a catastrophe. If you’re ever looking for advice on what not to do in business, study the geniuses behind that move and the fallout from it.

I want you all to put your thoughts on Steven Adler aside and listen to this show. His energy and optimism is infectious, and it’s led me to give him a second chance. If I can be converted, believe me, all of you can.
